EXPLORING WALL COLOR: WARM TONES Orange, Red, Pink

I've never been a fan of Orange.
But doing a little research for this blog, my eyes were opened.  There is a lot about Orange to love.  I found that there were a lot more variations on Orange than I had thought of when starting this post - colors like Coral, Terra Cotta, Peach and Persimmon.  They sound so much more interesting than just 'Orange', don't they?.

I found I liked orange with creamitSource URL: https://costumesgirl.blogspot.com/search/label/pink

WEDDING DESIGN: DALLAS WEDDING - PHOTOS!

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITYI've been to Louisiana.  The people there were friendly.
I thought that was Southern Hospitality.  Then I came to Texas and experienced it for real.  First off, a great big thank you to all who helped.

First to Lisa McKillop to picked me up at the airport and helped me get the flowers, clean the flowers, wire the flowers and who was my right hand - taking on the task of all Source URL: https://costumesgirl.blogspot.com/search/label/pink

WEDDING DESIGN: L.A. FABRIC WHOLESALE - I'D GO BACK JUST FOR THE HOT DOG

With just 8 weeks to the wedding in Dallas, I headed to LA to the garment/fabric district to hunt for ice pink fabric - not easy to find in the middle of winter!   Shawna needed draperies and we hoped to find the perfect fabric for them.
We navigated the fabric district in a frenzy.  There was shopping to do and then kids to pick up - we had a small window of opportunity - we geared up for some Source URL: https://costumesgirl.blogspot.com/search/label/pink

WEDDING DESIGN: Planning a Wedding!

I'm planning a wedding in Dallas. It is my first experience planning over the phone and via email - a little hard to convey ideas sometimes! So, I sent off little sketches of my vision for the wedding (reception) and crossed my fingers, waiting to hear back from them, hoping I got it right.

I just heard back from the bride. She emailed me to say that she LOVED every little thing and that I had Source URL: https://costumesgirl.blogspot.com/search/label/pink

HOME DECOR: CHILDS PLAY

I love creating rooms for young people. Children have boundless imaginations and interviewing them for a room redesign is a lesson in possibilities. Whether tweens, teens or preschoolers, they have no fear of color and they know exactly what they love. Nine year old Hailey wanted purple, hot pink, butterflies and fairies. Oh, and her other favorite - turquoise. Her mother was a little worried Source URL: https://costumesgirl.blogspot.com/search/label/pink
